General Maintenance Tips
for Room Air Conditioners |

Filter Cleaning |
|
| |
- The Air Filter should be cleaned as soon at
the Filter Clean Indicator LED starts glowing
- Remove the filter by removing the Front Suction
Grille and clean the dust by:
- Use of Vacuum Cleaner or Flapping
- In case of lot of dust, use neutral detergent,
wash with clean water and dry it in shade.

- Use hot water for cleaning the filter

Front Grille Cleaning |
|
| |
- The front grille may accumulate dust. To clean,
wipe it with a soft dry cloth. In case of excess
dust, wipe with soft cloth dampened with lukewarm
water and then wipe it again with soft dry cloth.

Use of AC after a long
periods |
|
| |
- In case the AC is not to be used for a long
period, run the AC with the setting in ‘FAN’
mode and the Fan Speed on ‘High’ for
half-an-hour, to dry the whole AC
- There would possibly be foul smell when the
machine is started after a long time (more than
1 Week). Hence it is advisable to clean the
Filter before you start the machine to avoid
the foul smell.
- After a long period when switching on the
AC, run the AC with the setting in ‘FAN’
mode and the Fan Speed on ‘High’ for
half an hour with the windows to the room Open.
- During long periods of operation, it is advisable
to provide fresh air to the air-conditioned
space, by opening the window/door at regular
intervals.

Annual Maintenance Contract |

- To Increase the life and efficiency of your
AC, we recommend the customer to take Annual
Maintenance Contract (AMC) with HHLI.

Why AMC? |
|
| |
- Frequently the users forget to clean the filter
or do not have time to clean the filter or simply
does not know how to clean it.
- Even if they clean the filter and the coil,
they would clean only the side that is inside
the room.
- Most people do not have access to the outer-side
or do not know or find it bothersome to remove
the entire machine and clean it themselves.
- In case the filter and coils are not cleaned
regularly, dust accumulates on the filter and
the coils.
- Accumulation of the dust on filter and the
coils lead to decrease in the efficiency of
heat exchange and the cooling ability of the
AC reduces.
- Decrease in the efficiency leads to
- Compressor running for a longer time.
- High power consumption
- Higher wear and tear of the compressor and
the machine.
- Also accumulation of dust leads to allergies
and breathing of unhealthy air.
- Hence, we recommend the customer to take AMC
contract with HHLI for efficient working of
your room airconditioner.

- The service includes cleaning of your AC,
checking of normal parameters like temperature,
current, check of any abnormal noise or vibrations

- The user need not bother about - when to clean
the machine. The service person will keep track
of the cleaning cycle and pay visits accordingly
for performing the maintenance.
- In case of failure of any parts , the comprehensive
